Leonardo has been in computer science from the beginning, and programming has always been his obsession. His passion began when he was 6 when his father taught him the rudiments of C programming.
He's been working in 2ndQuadrant since 2016 as a developer and a PostgreSQL consultant. PostgreSQL has always been his choice when working with a DBMS and he's been using it since 1998.
EDB acquired 2ndQuadrant in 2020, and CloudNative-PG was finally released as OSS in 2022.
Leonardo is now working as a maintainer for the CloudNative-PG project, as a developer for the EDB Postgres Distributed for Kubernetes, and as an architect for BigAnimal, the Postgres-as-a-service offering of EDB.
